Mr. Phelan is Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing with responsibility for the European Sales Team, OEM and Lessor Relationships and Corporate Marketing within elfc.
Justin started his career in aviation in 1992 as an apprentice aircraft maintenance technician with Lufthansa Technik Shannon (formerly Shannon Aerospace) and after qualification held various roles including Team Leader, Lead Engineer and Production Manager. During this time, he obtained various maintenance engineer licenses and approvals for A320 family, B737CL/NG, DC-9 and MD-80 aircraft.
In August 2007 he joined elfc as Powerplant Engineer with responsibility for asset management and was subsequently promoted to Powerplant Manager and Vice President Technical responsible for Asia. In 2018 Justin was promoted to the position of Vice President Marketing focusing on OEM and Lessor relationships and Corporate Marketing and in 2022 was appointed to his current role Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing.
In addition to his aeronautical engineering qualifications and licenses, Justin has a Degree in Business Studies (Hons) majoring in Marketing from the National University of Ireland and an Executive MBA from the University of Limerick.
